Sten-Olle

Sten-Olle is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and composer from the small Estonian town of Rapla, where he still proudly lives today. His songs have been streamed more than a million times on digital platforms, and he describes his music as “everyday life in HD” – taking the smallest and seemingly most insignificant moments from daily life and putting them under a microscope through song. He writes in his native Estonian, and the first thing that stands out in his songs is the depth of the lyrics. Yet they remain clear and accessible rather than obscure. In contrast, the music itself is filled with simple indie riffs and touches of orchestral sound, keeping the whole experience easy to digest. Recently, hints of jazz have also started to find their way into his music, although Sten-Olle assures us that he keeps a close eye on them so they do not take over. His latest album, Kehv keha, was released in October 2025 and received the Album of the Year in the Singer-Songwriter category award. His previous album, Rapla, was nominated in the singer-songwriter category at the Estonian Music Awards in 2022.
