Par pasākumu
The Tallinn International Music Festival bachFest invites you to enjoy experiences inspired by Johann Sebastian Bach's music in Tallinn's special locations at the beginning of the year. Each year, the festival brings several Estonian premieres to listeners, offering the opportunity to discover centuries-old works that have not been performed here before. The festival features music played on both traditional and rarer instruments, such as the arpanetta, medieval portative organ, and kantele. The festival's center is Tallinn Cathedral; chamber concerts are held at Tallinn Town Hall and House of the Blackheads. Early music and the unique atmosphere of Tallinn's Old Town offer a beautiful opportunity to start the new year with music. bachFest gives you the opportunity to discover compositions from different eras and hear works and instruments rarely encountered in regular programs. For visitors to Tallinn, the festival is also a great way to combine a musical experience with exploring Old Town.
