Christmas Jazz

Christmas Jazz is an international music festival with a long tradition that fills Tallinn’s dark winter season with warm sounds and a special Christmas atmosphere. The festival, organized by Jazzkaar, brings to the audience world-class international artists, esteemed Estonian musicians, and exciting collaboration projects. The festival is centered on jazz, but the program ranges from soul, gospel, and world music to pop, classical, and experimental sound art. Concerts take place in various concert halls, clubs, churches, and cultural venues across Tallinn, offering the chance to discover the city alongside the music. The intimate, direct atmosphere of Christmas Jazz offers a welcome change from the busy pre-Christmas period and provides experiences for both dedicated jazz lovers and those just getting acquainted with this musical world. The headliner for 2026 is the legendary US trumpeter Wynton Marsalis together with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. Vocalists Catherine Russell and Georgia Heers will also perform.
